The White Sox are finalizing a trade of left-hander Garrett Crochet to the Red Sox, according to reports. As part of the trade return, the White Sox will receive highly regarded catching prospect Kyle Teel.

The Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox agreed to the biggest trade of the offseason (so far) on Wednesday, closing out the Winter Meetings by agreeing to a deal that sends the All-Star left-hander Garrett Crochet to Fenway Park in exchange for a four-player package.

Following Juan Soto’s gargantuan 15-year, $765 million deal with the New York Mets and Max Fried’s eight-year, $218 million contract with the New York Yankees, the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox have struck an agreement to send Garrett Crochet, arguably the most coveted pitcher on the trade market, from the Windy City to Beantown.
